UPDATE: March 20, 2008
To: Our Valued Net-Express Customers
All of NXS’s Internet business has been acquired by
ISDN‑Net, Inc., with
headquarters located in Nashville,
Tennessee. ISDN-Net is the oldest and largest privately
owned Internet service provider in the state of Tennessee and will provide strength in both
service and support. Unlike many other large Internet Service
Providers who are Regional or national, ISDN-Net operates only
in the state of Tennessee. They are roughly 20 times the
size of the old Net-Express and have a tremendous reputation for
support and service, and have a well maintained high end network
supporting all facets of Internetica.
During the 11 years Net-Express has been in the
Internet business, we have seen many technological changes in
the way Internet service is delivered. There are many more
changes on the horizon and ISDN-Net has the resources and
technological knowledge to take advantage of these changes in
those cases that benefit the customer. The Internet
revolution has just begun, and ISDN-Net has plans and is taking
action already on what will evolve in the future.
One of the very positive changes that should occur
within the next 30 days is that all email boxes will be moved to
route thru Postini for anti-spam and anti-virus protection.
Postini is THE premier anti-spam, anti-virus service and is now
owned by Google. Also dialup customers will be able to use
their dialup in hundreds of cities nationwide.
Customers will not need to change email addresses or
dialup phone numbers, everything should work as it is currently
setup. Some DSL customers will need changes made to their
routers, however the ISDN-Net team will handle that smoothly as
needed, and the Technical support staff of
Dataworld is still here
and will help as asked.
Customers that like to walk in and pay there bill in
person at the Dataworld location can continue to do so for the
near future.
We encourage you to stay with ISDN-Net. There
will be no changes in pricing for the immediate future so you
should at least give ISDN-Net a fair chance. Please
continue to pay your service by whatever method you have been
using until notified otherwise. If you have questions or
concerns, please give me a call at 865-225-1441 and we will be
happy to answer them.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our
customers for your loyalty over the years.
I’m sure some of you are wondering what has brought
about this transition. The management of Dataworld is
making this transition as part of a series of steps aimed at
retirement. Dataworld has been serving the East Tennessee
region for over 26 years, and is now working on a suitable
exit strategy to be complete hopefully by the end of the third
quarter of 2009 or early 2010.
The Dataworld shop, premise wiring, sales, service and
installation facilities, along with the web design team will
remain open for business as usual. If we can be of service
to you in those regards, please do continue to consider us as
your technology partner.
Sincerely,
Management
