Steve Brugman has served as The Nexus Group President and CEO since January 2010. Steve’s passion for using technology to solve business problems and enable efficient / scalable business processes grew from his 16 years experience at Oracle Corp. While at Oracle, Steve was VP / GM of the strategic accounts consulting business and had responsibility for the healthcare, automotive and high tech industry consulting practices. This experience afforded Steve the opportunity to collaborate and deploy business process and technology solutions in security and compliance, supply chain planning, finance, CRM and ERP. Notably, Steve’s team had responsibility for Oracle’s largest hosting and managed services customer.
Steve holds an MBA from Duke University / Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University. He and his wife Sharon have two children and are active in a number of church and community organizations in Williamson and Davidson Counties.
Robert England currently serves as The Nexus Group CFO as well as the Healthcare Partner leading the effort to serve Physicians, Hospitals and medical services companies across the State of Tennessee.

Mat Gaskins serves as Vice President of Infrastructure. Mat has over 20 years experience in information technology with an emphasis in the Healthcare industry. Most recently, Mat was Vice President of Infrastructure for AIM / United Healthcare. In his career he has managed over 50 data centers domestically and abroad, his team has implemented cutting edge Cloud technologies, maintained Infrastructure Services for an OLTP database labeled the largest in the world at the time, and built progressive Infrastructure Services that supported the logical and physical security requirements for sensitive data.

Joe Lynch is the Director of Engineering for The Nexus Group and provides technical and managerial support for network infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance. Joe's team is responsible for the health of Nexus’ core network stretching from Memphis to Knoxville supporting managed data, voice, Internet, and hosting services, as well as customer connections throughout the country and around the world.
He and his team also provide solution design support for the sales organization, working with customers to determine the needs of their businesses and develop service options that meet those needs.
Before joining Nexus in 2005, Joe worked as a network operations manager with IBM and AT&T, and served with the Army National Guard as a staff NCO in Military Intelligence and Air Defense Artillery units. He has earned a Master of Science in Telecommunications from Roosevelt University in Chicago, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management from DeVry and an Associates of Applied Science in Electronics Technology from Ivy Tech. Aside from his formal education, Joe has completed numerous professional certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA and other certification bodies.
Elton Cranfill serves as Systems Consultant, having joined the company in June 2010. Elton has owned and sold several businesses and provided IT infrastructure consulting to many others. Through those experiences, he has demonstrated his passion for providing IT solutions to small businesses.
Small and medium sized businesses have the increasingly large challenge keeping up with emerging technologies that can help their business and regulatory changes that can put their businesses at great risk. His unique experience in these areas make him an ideal fit for The Nexus Group’s strategic vision to providing a single vendor to manage IT infrastructure needs of its’ customers.
Elton is summarized in his statement; “Business, software and technology, it's not really what I do... it's who I am”. He has has 16 years experience in Linux, Microsoft and VM Ware technologies, and with that a number of software certifications. He is a graduate of Fountainhead College of Technology with a degree in computer programming.
